Dr. A. SAUL LEVINE

Dr. A. Saul Levine, O.D. was born in Brooklyn, New York, a graduate of Stuyvesant H.S.. After receiving a B.S in Science, Doctorate of Optometry and Master of Optometry degrees at the University of California Berkeley, he entered the Army & served in Japan as an Optometry officer during the Korean Conflict. He returned to San Jose in 1955 to establish his practice, served as President at his local Optometric Society & as Trustee for the California Optometric Association. He is married 51 years to his wife Joyce. They delight in their three children & eight grandchildren. Golfing tends to find its way into his busy schedule.



Dr. MARY ANN C. SHUI

Dr. Mary Ann C. Shui, O.D. was born in New York City. She moved to Southern California in 1971 where she met her future husband in 1981. She graduated Valedictorian from Whitney High School and received an Honors Degree in Biology at UCLA. She then worked as Researcher and Organ Transplant Technician with UCLA Cardiothoracic Surgery/Heart-Lung Transplant Team. After getting married she moved with her husband to the Bay Area and faced a career change. Dr. Shui pursued her second career and in 2001 completed an Honors Doctorate Degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry with Therapeutic Licensing. She continues her love for teaching as a part-time Clinical Faculty Professor at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She is completely fluent in English and Chinese. Dr. Shui enjoys educating patients, involvement in Church Ministries, raising her 3 young children and stealing lunch dates with her husband.



Dr. THOMAS PAN

Dr. Thomas Pan, O.D. was born in Taipei, Taiwan, but moved to the US when he was 3 years old. He is still fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He attended UCLA where he earned a bachelor's of science in Biology with Departmental Honors. His Doctor of Optometry degree was awarded at UC Berkeley. His education includes pathology internships at V.A. hospital in Tacoma, WA, as well as the Navajo Indian reservation at Shiprock, NM. Dedication to the well-being and health of his patients is his clinical goal. He enjoys making art, included oil painting, but his favorite medium is still sketching with pencil. He also used to compete in Table Tennis and badminton, but currently plays these for recreation only. He is also fond of hiking.
